Praying for Dallas after last night’s deadly police ambush

UPDATE:  The Billy Graham Rapid Response Team is sending a team of chaplains to Dallas, Texas to help provide emotional and spiritual care.

“Pray for the families of the officers killed in Dallas Thursday night and for the recovery of those ambushed and wounded at the protest,” said Franklin Graham. “Join me in praying for the communities in Louisiana and Minnesota as well.”

The Rapid Response Team is a nationwide network of crisis-trained chaplains ready to deploy at a moment’s notice.

Pray concern: At least two snipers opened fire on police officers in Dallas, Texas last night, fatally wounding five officers and injuring at least 7 others.  The ‘ambush’ took place after hundreds gathered to protest shootings this week in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and suburban St. Paul, Minnesota.

“The men and women of the Dallas Police Department and DART selflessly ran into harm’s way to protect the lives of others. Our thoughts and prayers go out to these officers and their families, and to those who have been injured.  May God (continue) to protect them and bring peace upon Dallas.”
