New marriages on the rise…
The number of first time (traditional) marriages in the US went up in 2012 after a three year decline. So who’s getting married? The increase is among college educated, adults 35 and older. The average age for a first time marriage: 29 for men. 26 for women. Overall, only 50.5% of adults in America are currently married. That’s down from 72% in 1960… Source: US Census Data
