NOTE:  NC Voters were supposed to make congressional primary choices on Tuesday. But court rulings last month about the state’s congressional district lines forced the General Assembly to redraw the boundaries and delay those elections until June 7th.  The filing period for North Carolina’s 13 congressional seats run through noon March 25th.      http://goo.gl/NbEHGK


Race to the White House: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton won several states including North Carolina in yesterday’s primaries. Trump took Illinois, North Carolina and Florida. Republican John Kasich won his home state of Ohio. Clinton scored wins in Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio and Florida.

In Missouri, the races were too close to call as of Wednesday morning.

-After losing his home state in the Republican primary, Marco Rubio dropped out of the presidential race, leaving three GOP candidates in the race for the nomination, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich.  Fox News


What about that Bond item on Tuesday’s ballot?  North Carolina voters overwhelmingly agreed to borrow $2 billion dollars for repairs, renovations and new buildings at universities and community colleges. The bond will also pay for local water and sewer projects and construction on state parks, National Guard buildings and the North Carolina Zoo. http://goo.gl/NbEHGK



Earline Parmon, former state senator from Forsyth County, passed away on Tuesday. She was 72.  Parmon most recently worked as the outreach director for Rep. Alma Adams who represents the 12th Congressional District.  WS Journal
