 Walmart will open two neighborhood markets in the Triad next Wednesday. The 41,000-square-foot stores located on University Parkway in Winston-Salem and Highway 64 in Lexington will be open 24 hours, seven days a week. BTW: Each store will offer family activities such as face painting, cupcake decorating and free food samples while supplies last from noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 31.

Deflate-Gate?  The NFL says its investigation into whether the New England Patriots used under-inflated footballs in the AFC championship game is ongoing after a report earlier in the week claimed the league found 11 footballs were not properly inflated.  Expect a fine and a slap on the wrist if New England’s found guilty.   Fox News

About 8% of Forsyth County homeowners are considered “seriously underwater” when it comes to their mortgage, according to Realty-Trac. The research group defines seriously underwater as a homeowner owing at least 25% more on a mortgage than the property is worth.

Update:  Appalachian State University has released the identified a student found dead in a dorm room on Monday. Mary Catherine Johnson, age 19, was a freshman from Raleigh. Foul play is NOT suspected. This is the 4th such unattended death of an ASU student since September.  **Let’s remember to pray for our college students…

A truck driver nodded off, hit a bridge, spilling an entire load of Ramen Noodles on I-95 S near Rocky Mount in Nash County.   We’re happy to report that no one was injured in this crash…but what about ALL those packs of Ramen Noodles???
