What’s up with those specks? Proctor & Gamble saying that it will begin phasing out ‘micro-beads’ from its Crest products after some dental hygienists raised concerns. The ‘blue specked microbeads’ are visible to the naked eye. Crest, made by Procter & Gamble in Greensboro, will be microbead-free in six months and completely gone by March of 2016. http://goo.gl/mGk1ol

(Update) Fox 8 reporting that a 2 year old boy has died from complications of a near drowning in High Point last week. The child passed away on Saturday at Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salem. His identity has not been released. Emergency crews responded to a ‘near drowning call’ last Thursday at the Copper Mill Village apartment complex. The child was pulled from a retention pond at the apartment complex. Firefighters believe the boy fell in after chasing a ball.
