Priorities: Sports talk radio has really been unkind to Daniel Murphy – second baseman for the New York Mets – after he missed two games.
The reason: He took two days off for ‘the birth of his son.
According to Major League Baseball rules, a player is allowed to take 3 days off as part their collective bargaining agreement to paternity leave. For the record: Murphy took a total of two days off. Murphy responded to the scrutiny, simply saying it was “the best thing for our family.”
