RECALL: Ground Beef from Food Lion in the news (Thursday, Sept 29, 2011)

Ground Beef Recall:  Tyson Fresh Meats is recalling over 130, 000 pounds of ground beef because of E. coli contamination.  The bad beef was distributed to Food Lion stores (sold as Butcher’s Beef brand) inNorth Carolina and several other states. Officials with Food Lion want you to check your freezer and if the UPC code (725439922241) matches the latest beef recall, return it to the store for a full refund.

One 10-Year prayer tradition will now be silent. For the past decade, it has been a tradition in Arab,Alabamato start every school football game with prayer.  But thanks to a letter from the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation protesting the pre-game prayer on behalf of one anonymous parent, the games will now begin with a moment of silence.
