A maintenance worker was surprised to find a 5-foot python lounging inside a motel room in Myrtle Beach.  WPDE-TV reporting that the maintenance worker saw the jungle carpet python on a window sill inside a room at the Coral Sands Motel last Thursday.  You may be wondering…HOW did the snake get into the room? Well, the snake belonged to the room’s last tenant, who left it behind. Michelle Apperson, a 6th grade teacher at Sutterville Elementary School in Sacramento, California, unfortunately joins ranks of the unemployed. She was recently laid off by the Sacramento City Unified School District.  Michelle taught at Sutterville for nine years, and was selected as this year’s Teacher of the Year for the entire district.  The district was facing a $43 million dollar budget shortfall, so cuts had to be made, including a cut of teachers.
