Gas prices coming down a few pennies since the weekend. According to www.gasbuddy.com , the average price for regular unleaded in the Triad is $2.28 a gallon…that’s 10 cents a gallon cheaper than the national average.

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education will hold another public forum this evening as they continue the search for a new school superintendent. The band Kutless is working with Samaritan’s Purse to help wounded vets. Their “Military Mission Project” is a two-fold ministry:  They are giving away free concert tickets for active and retired military members and their spouses as an opportunity to be encouraged and refreshed. And the band will be donating a portion of all merchandise proceeds to Operation Heal Our Patriots, an outreach of Samaritan’s Purse.   

Shoeless again?  Maybe you have heard the story or have seen the photo of the New York City policeman who bought a homeless man some shoes.   Well, the New York Times reporting that the homeless man was spotted Sunday night wandering around Manhattan – barefoot.  When he was asked about the $100 dollar all-weather boots that Officer Larry DePrimo gave him back on Nov. 14, Hillman says he’s hidden them because “they are worth a lot of money.” An Arizona tourist snapped the photo of the officer presenting new boots to the homeless man. Happy news for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge:  Prince William and his wife Kate are expecting a baby. The BBC reporting that Kate has been admitted to the hospital with severe morning sickness.  Members of the royal family delighted

China Aid reporting that nine Christians have been detained in inner Mongolia for ‘evangelizing’. Two of those Christians have been sentenced to a labor camp.  The Christians ran a free medical clinic, where they shared the Gospel with all
that came to their clinic.  BTW: Christians frequently suffer persecution and oppression in the communist country of China.
