School districts around the nation are dropping prayers before ball games

For the past decade, it has been a tradition in Arab, Alabama to start every school football game with prayer.  But thanks to a letter from the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation protesting the pre-game prayer on behalf of one anonymous parent, the games will now begin with a moment of silence. The parent had claimed that their First Amendment rights had been violated.  FYI: School districts in Mississippi and Kentucky recently dropped their pregame prayers after threats from the same atheist group. http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2011/September/Alabama-School-District-Drops-Pregame-Prayer-/
