Job Fair: The State Highway Patrol is hosting a job fair in Greensboro Friday  afternoon from 1pm to 4pm at the Dick’s Sporting Goods on Bridford Parkway.  Cadets are paid and receive benefits during training. The “Aw Shucks: Corn Shucking Contest” this Saturday morning at the  Dixie Classic Fair Farmers’ Market in Winston-Salem. The donated corn shucked during the event will be in turn donated to the Samaritan Ministries Soup Kitchen.  Scam alert: The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office reporting that a woman has reportedly been going around selling Girl Scout cookies in the Reidsville area, collecting the money from victims, but never delivering the cookies.
