ABC News correspondent Amy Robach has breast cancer and will undergo a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery later this week.  Robach, a 40-year-old mother of two, underwent a mammogram about a month ago while putting together a news story for “Good Morning America.”   A few weeks after the mammogram, Robach learned she had breast cancer. Following Thursday’s surgery, she will find out what further treatment she may require. BTW: Robach said she was initially reluctant to have the public mammogram, but decided to do it after GMA’s Robin Roberts said it would be worth it if the story saved one life.  “It never occurred to me that life would be mine”.

It’s now official: Downton Abbey will be back for a fifth season.   The fourth season will premiere here in America on PBS on January 5th. But across the pond, the 4th season of Downton Abbey scored massive numbers of viewers in the UK back in September.

The  Lawrence Joel family will be honored at the game.   Army Specialist Lawrence Joel served in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Joel received the Congressional Medal of Honor from President Lyndon B. Johnson back in 1967. Lawrence Joel, a career soldier, retired from the Army in 1973. Joel passed away in 1984 and is buried in Arlington Cemetery. Lawrence Joel said before going to Washington to receive his medal, “I just wish I could have done more. I never say that I deserved the medal.  That’s just not for me to say. It was just my job.”  BIO info:
