Veterans’ Day activities planned around the Triad

Veterans’ Day Parade – Saturday (Nov 07 at 10am) in downtown Winston-Salem. The parade begins at Fourth and Broad streets, heads east on Fourth Street to south on Liberty Street and ends at Business 40.  Veteran organizations, businesses or other organizations that want to take part in the parade should contact Walter Emery, the parade coordinator, at 336-766-8087.  NO entry fee.


NOV 10 / next Tuesday     Veterans Luncheon – Surry Community College SGA is hosting a lunch for veterans from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Grand Hall, on the campus of Surry Community College, 630 S. NOV 11 (Kernersville) Send ‘Thank You’ notes (as well as art work) to hospitalized servicemen and women at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury.  The Veterans’ Day event will be held from 9am  to 11am and 5pm to 6pm next Wednesday NOV 11.  Location: The Fitness Center at Kernersville, 861 Old Winston Road, Kernersville.
