Wednesday Word for January 26th

Did you get to hear the Mwangaza Children’s choir when they were in studio last Tuesday?  They sang beautifully and each shared their favorite scripture.  Here we were standing and listening to these 10, 11 and 12 year olds not only share their favorite verse but encourage and admonish each of us.  You can see them sharing on YouTube.  It will bless your heart.  One of the verses shared by Isaac was Colossians 3:23-24  Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.  What a wonderful world we would live in if we all did everything with this being foremost in our mind.  It reminds me of another verse:  1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.  May everything we do be a reflection of our love for the Lord, whether you are mopping a floor, preparing a meal, volunteering, doing your 9-5, whatever it is do it to the glory of our God!!!!

I would like to ask you to do something, would you please join us in our annual Sweetheart Surprise promotion?  There are senior citizens in our area that would love to receive a Valentine card from you!  Please help to make their day special by making Valentine’s and taking them to the area Lowes Food Stores.  You can find a list of those stores at www.wbfj.fm. Please drop off your cards anytime from now until Feb 6th.  We received a card back from one of the seniors last year and this is what she said, “Thanks a lot for my Valentine’s filled with so much love for someone you only know as an invisible friend……you went to a lot of trouble to make these cards and I for one have gotten a lot of pleasure out of them not to mention lots of love.  Please help us to make Valentine’s Day extra special for an extra special group of seniors in our area.

On behalf of the area senior citizens I thank each of you in advance for making a difference in their lives and ours, too!!

Blessings,

Bonnie
