RECALL: Honda is recalling select Ridgeline pickup trucks (2020-2024) because the rearview camera (RVC) tailgate wire harness may fatigue and break, which can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying and increase the risk of crash.
Honda dealers will replace the RVC tailgate wire harness, free of charge.
Update: The out-of-state driver of that Big Rig that was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Hwy 52 southbound last Thursday morning has been charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, according to Winston-Salem police. How’s your mailbox?
Mailbox Improvement Week is an annual ‘encouragement’ campaign from the US Postal Service to gently urge homeowners to perform maintenance on their mailboxes.
Some suggestions include…
Remounting a loose mailbox post.
Consider replacing loose hinges on the mailbox door.
Repainting mailboxes that are rusted or peeling.
Adding or replace house numbers.
BTW: Vertical height of a mailboxe at the road should be 3.5 to 4 feet from the ground to the bottom of the box.
A big shout out to those who brave the snow, sleet, rain, heat and gloom of night to deliver letters and packages to more than 167 million addresses – daily.
Mailbox Improvement Week runs thru May 25. https://about.usps.com/postal-bulletin/2024/pb22649/html/
Backlog at the DMV. When you renew your driver’s license, getting a hard copy of that license normally takes 2 to 3 weeks. The North Carolina DMV is experiencing production delays with the outside private contractor that prints official license and ID cards. It is taking longer than the normal 15 days for customers to receive their ID cards in the mail. The temporary certificate received by customers at the end of their transaction is valid for 60 days. If customers do not receive their ID card within 60 days, please call NC-DMV at 919-861-3555 for assistance.
